Ghost Factory Racing Team kicks off 2025 with a bang
Nicole Koller Claims First Elite World Cup Podium in Araxá
The 2025 World Cup season began with a strong statement in Araxá, Brazil, where the world’s top mountain bikers returned to a familiar venue. The challenging course - a blend of natural terrain and technical jump sections - tested the resilience and skill of every rider. Amid fierce competition, Ghost Factory Racing Team’s Nicole Koller delivered a standout performance, securing her first-ever podium finish in the Elite category with a second-place result.
The weekend began with the Short Track (XCC) event, where Koller demonstrated early form by earning a front-row start with a strong 4th place finish. U23 riders Finja Lipp and Sara Cortinovis showed solid form too, finishing in 11th and 12th respectively.

Sunday’s Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) race proved to be the highlight. Despite a difficult start, Koller methodically worked her way into the lead group through strategic riding and focus. In a race defined by aggressive moves and frequent lead changes, she held her ground and crossed the line in 2nd place - marking a milestone achievement in her career. She now sits 2nd in the overall standings after the opening round.

U23 athletes Lipp and Cortinovis improved their positions, finishing 9th and 10th, showcasing their potential and growth. Anne Terpstra delivered a consistent performance for a 15th-place finish - a solid beginning to her season despite not reaching her personal expectations.
As proud sponsors of the Ghost team’s nutritional support, Cadence Nutrition celebrates this early season success. Our commitment to high-performance fuel is grounded in the belief that great results are built on great preparation, both on and off the bike.
