CAMERON (CAM) ROACH
Cameron’s positive energy on and off the bike is best described as infectious. Riding a bicycle for him is more about being in movement, keeping fit and inspiring people to get out there and have fun. He considers himself a people’s person, with the ability to get along with people young and old, so it comes as no surprise that like so many in this generation, Cameron admires Greg Minnar for his achievements and approachability.
Cameron was forced to learn how to ride a bicycle without training wheels when he was three, before he was allowed on his motorbike. Since then, he claims not to have lived a day without a bicycle. These days, he uses the bicycle for the thrill of a fast downhill trail - or to soak an afternoon sunset from Chapmans Peak. Staying well-fuelled on these rides is necessary to keep the stoke-factor high. For this, Cam relies on the Berry CarboFuel, and perhaps too many Salted Caramel bars. “I could eat so many of them and never get sick of them”, he says.
The desire to race isn’t his passion, but the desire to use a bicycle to see more of the world is. Cam would love to participate in a variety of events across the globe, such as an Enduro in Spain or somewhere where he can use a gondolier to travel with his bike to awesome trails. Together with Cadence Nutrition and his bicycle, we would love some more of this energy in the universe.
